Smith Sapp CPAs is seeking a Staff Accountant to fill an immediate position on our team. Smith Sapp has served clients on the Grand Strand since 1948. This team member is planned to be responsible for the following duties:

• Efficient and effective completion of the following (under supervision): journal entry, reconciliation, counting and recording, schedule preparation, trial balance adjustments, depreciation, work papers, statistics, tax returns, research, financial statements, miscellaneous accounting/auditing tasks.

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following qualifications and expectations:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting
• Hold a CPA license or pass the CPA exam within 18 months of hire
• Have advanced computer knowledge, basic accounting knowledge, have data-entry experience and typing skills, display excellent reliability, punctuality, professionalism, ability to follow detailed instructions, and ability to perform quality control checks (2-4 years experience preferred)
• Must have excellent reliability, punctuality, integrity, confidentiality, & professionalism
