As a **Security Officer - Hospital Patrol** in **Birmingham, AL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more . As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to staff, patients, and visitors. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity. This role does not require driving or carrying a weapon. **Position Type: Part Time** **Pay Rate: $12.92 / Hour** **Job Schedule:** **Day** **Time** Wed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Thur03:00 PM - 11:00 PM **Responsibilities:** + Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. + Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards within the location to the appropriate personnel. + Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. + Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders as needed. + Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies. **Minimum Requirements:** + Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred. + Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred. + Alabama Security Professional Guard Card is preferred. + Customer service experience is preferred. + Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. **Perks and Benefits:** + Health insurance and 401k plans for full-time positions + Schedules that fit with your personal life goals + Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities + Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more... **Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.** All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race/ethnicity, age, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status, or any other basis protected by law.
