Join our Team as a Precision Machining Programmer!
Are you passionate about precision and innovation? At The Lee Company, our Precision Machining Programmers bring designs to life by programming CNC Lathes, Swiss lathes, and Mills. You'll develop advanced machining processes that pave the way for overnight runs and collaborate closely with our robotics automation teams.
What You'll Need:
A high school diploma, GED, or education from a trade school. An associate degree in manufacturing technologies is preferred.
Solid knowledge of CNC machining processes and metal manipulation.
Expertise in identifying machining glitches such as tool breakdowns and rough surfaces.
Skilled in operating computerized machine controls and precision instruments.
Proficiency in digital data entry and document management.
A knack for mechanics and the capacity to apply advanced math skills.
Ability to proofread, interpret blueprints, train colleagues, and manage production documentation.
Your Key Tasks:
Create layouts based on part drawings, machine specs, and electronic data, aligning with established standards and methodologies to execute various machining operations with precision.
Design and configure steps for tool operations, integrating proper speed, feeds, and positioning.
Supervise setups and operations to verify programming accuracy and complete workpiece quality.
Utilize CNC machines to validate programs when necessary.
Amend programs to correct issues, enhance efficiency, or fit new tooling designs for cost-effectiveness.
Partner with Tool Design and Manufacturing teams to conceptualize tooling for new or modified assignments.
