Green Basil Street is a new fast-casual Thai restaurant opening in the heart of Chicago’s Loop in September 2025. We’re bringing fresh flavors, quick service, and a modern vibe to one of the busiest parts of the city. At Green Basil Street, we believe in creating a space where customers and teamwork come first, delivering great food with great energy
Requirements – BOH StaffPositive attitude and strong work ethic — willing to support the team wherever needed
Reliable and punctual — able to work scheduled shifts on time
Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment (grill, wok, fryers, prep, etc.)
Able to stand, move, and lift up to 40 lbs throughout a shift
Willingness to handle a variety of BOH tasks (prep, cooking, cleaning, restocking, dishes when needed)
Previous kitchen experience a plus, but not required — we’ll train the right people
Cook menu items quickly and consistently following recipes and portion guidelines
Prep ingredients (chopping, marinating, portioning, stocking)
Maintain food safety standards: labeling, storage, temperature logs
Keep kitchen stations clean, sanitized, and organized
Assist FOH with restocking or quick support during peak times
Cross-train between line, prep, and general kitchen tasks
